Through national and international collaborations, JSGP promotes interdisciplinary studies, teaching and research programmes, and strives to develop a comparative perspective on local and global policy issues.
JSGP offers students a well-rounded education and exposes them to the field in both rural and urban contexts and the institutional mechanisms of governance. JSGP regularly invites academicians, activists, senior officials, politicians, NGO-workers, policymakers from the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations to deliver lectures and interact with students and faculty members.

MA Public PolicyJindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) offers India’s pioneering M.A. Public Policy (MA PP) by internationally trained faculty.
MA PP graduates are equipped to work on development and public policy-making roles in government, civil services institutions, CSR groups, academic think tanks, NGOs, media, and political organizations.
The M.A. Public Policy programme offered by Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) is an interdisciplinary programme that prepares students to navigate complex policy environments. The M.A. in Public Policy and Governance programme covers a broad range of contemporary political, economic and social issues and offers students a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience to address them.
The curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary analytical and managerial skills required to be effective in the policy-making process. Graduates of M.A. Public Policy can pursue a wide range of career paths in public service, non-profit organisations, and the private sector. Through a combination of rigourous coursework, hands-on experience, and exposure to the real-world policy-making process, students are prepared to become future policymakers and public leaders.

Applicants to the M.A. (PP) at JSGP must hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognised university. Students who are completing their Bachelor's degree by July 2026 are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis. There is no maximum age limit for applicants to the M.A. (PP) Programme. International or foreign applicants are also welcome to apply.
